49th Janów Podlaski Auction & Summer Sale
Arabians of the State Studs
12 - 13th of August 2018

Debut of the Auction Catalogue in Menton, France
The Mediterranean and Arab Countries Arabian Horse Championship in Menton on the French Riviera, held last weekend (23rd-24th of June), brought two noteworthy events. Michałów-bred horses – Pustynia Kahila, shown under the Polish flag and Equator, leased by Al Sheikh Stud (Israel) – were awarded with the titles of Best European Horse and the Trophy Pegasus for Best Movement, respectively.

The Menton show was also the place where the "Pride of Poland – 49th Janów Podlaski Auction & Summer Arabian Horse Sale 2018" catalogue made its debut. Photographs of horses from the State Studs were made by the Belgian photographer Glenn Jacobs. The cover is graced by Michałów's Palanga, offered under Lot 2. The grey mare was photographed in front of a crimson-coloured fabric moved by the wind. On the centenary of regaining independence by Poland such a colour combination of red and white is not coincidental – it brings to mind the Polish national colours.

The sale offer of both auctions (August 12th and 13th) consists of 32 horses (31 mares and one stallion) from the studs of Janów Podlaski, Michałów, Białka and private breeders. The list of horses will soon be published on our website.
